Members of Department of Science

We are team of dedicated and committed trained teachers. Our work strives to inspire and motivate students to adopt research based exploration of knowledge. Developing scientific temperament and promoting rational attitude towards various phenomenons in the universe are key emphasis in our endeavour to train our students.

but a seed of future
from an atom to a universe
everything is science

Rain

Rain
by Lodhen (Class VIII A)

When I see rain
I always go insane
In my heart there is a stain
Recalls every suffering, every pain

When my schedule for the day is set
I don’t want to become wet
Even though they support the grain
I always say “I hate rain”

Muddy is the ground
Unlucky is the hound
And the never bouncing ball
I see players only fall!

Rain I will never admire
Banish all of my desire
Happiness it always lack
Suffering it always stack

I want everything to come soon
Any season but not monsoon
Become as funny as a clown
In the mud I fall, my clothe’s brown

How can I love this season
Don’t give me rain but some reason,
You make me feel like I’m in jail
Bring devastating storm, sleet and hail.

Some children say that soapy water is acidic and some says alkaline. Grape peel will tell us whether soap water is acidic or alkaline. We will do experiment. We want (a cup of water, beaker, grape peel, tripod stand, funnel, filter paper matches, funnel stand, wire mesh, dropper, alcohol lamp, test tube, soapy water). First pour water into the beaker containing the grape peel. Make sure the peel is fully submerged. Next, beat the beaker containing grape peel using an alcohol lamp. When it’s boiled we have to wait till it cools down. Next we have to pour soap water into a test tube. We have to place the filter paper on the funnel. We will place the funnel on the funnel stand. We will filter the grape peel indicator. Next, we will use a dropper and we will put two to three drops of our indicator into the test tube containing soap water. If the colour changes into red then the soap water is acidic and if it turns into green or blue it says that it is alkaline. So, it has turn into a blue colour so, soapy water is alkaline.

Science is to sharpen our brain
It makes you smarter
Science is a solution for our problems
That why we learn science

The more you explore science
The more you become curious
Curiosity initiates your passion
This is the way to learn Science

You will have many troubles
But don’t lose hope
Then one fine day
You will success

Science is only a treasure
Which help us to see galaxies
Science is not a game
That you can leave behind

If you want to see a new world
Learn science with your full heart
Develop creativity and curiosity
Science is cool and fun

All the times, earth depend on light
We depends on endless supply of water
We depends on the air that we breathe
We depends much on the land we live

Science is everything
Science is everything in our environment
Science provides our needs and fulfils our lives
Science broadens our mental abilities

Science is what is happening within our brains
Science makes us discovers, innovators, and creative artists
Science makes you live with mind blowing experiments

We don’t need any jewelers or ornaments
Just need interest and passion in science
Science makes everything for us
Science also leads to happiness.

Science is the blood which runs through our body
It is the heart which beats through our ribs
Science is everything
Do explore more
Science is fun and cool!

Science

Science and us
Tenzin Lhamo, VI A
Science has become indispensable part of our lives. Science is not only a subject. It is our treasure. Without the science in this century, I think that we can’t live freely and happily. Learning the science, we have to do many activities; but before an activity we have to think many times. If you are good in science, then you will get a good job in your future. Learning science also helps for your brain to think in depth. If you are not good in science, then it shows that you are not good in maths because maths is a door and science is a key. Lastly, I want to say Michael Jordan says “Play Basketball”, Ronaldo says “play football”, Thomas Edison say “Do Maths” but Einstien say “learn Science”

Science comforts our daily life. When we study science, many questions come in our mind. The subject can be learnt best by doing activities. The science as a core subject, we can get many jobs like doctor, engineer, scientist, science teacher and many more. If scientific knowledge is not developed, then our lives may not have changed much. There will be no science teacher, scientist, engineer, and doctor. If there are not doctors, then many people might die. If you are not good in science, you may not excel in maths. Science is what you observe your surrounding carefully and explore everything near you. Science stream has broad scope in job placement. Science is all about inventing new things like right brothers who invented air plane. In science, questions like how, why, when and which of different phenomenons are answered etc. If this generation doesn’t study science, then there will be no discoveries and innovation of new things which may lead to various challenges in our lives.

Who Am I?

Who Am I?
by Tenzin Dechen (Class VIII A)

I can be heard
I travel through
solid, liquid, and gas
Who am I?

I’ve four types
Plosives, fricatives, clicks, oscillation
I vibrate while working
Who am I?

I sometimes make people happy
But sometimes I irritate them
I’m measured by frequency
Who am I?

Vibrations of molecules
Is very significant to me
I work day and night
Who am I?

WHY?

WHY?
by Tenzin Phuntsok (Class VIII B)

The apples falls down
and it touches the ground
the baby girl was born
even when the mother prefers a boy

The insects walks on water
which we cannot do,
The iron rusts,
even when we don’t want them to

While we have always wanted to fly
But we are still on the ground.
Even though we have never wanted earthquakes
still, our earth do shake sometimes.

Breathing in water is something we can’t do,
while the fish do it so easily,
we fail to jump above our knees
while kangaroo jumps our height

See, Usain Bolts so fast,
Messi’s so good with football
Lebron shining in the basket match
However, we being different,
Outshining in the field they can’t.

So, if you have ever wonder,
the reason why we are different ,
science might be the reason
Behind your’s every WHY?

The Little Ones

The Little Ones
By Tenzing Dolkar 7A
It’s sunny out there, ponds are drying.
And the little tadpoles are in fear.
Moving and jumping, waiting for the rain.
Poor! I feel so sad, for them it’s too bad.
Nowhere left to go, how helpless we are too.
Lastly, poor little ones are going to die.
Being the part of the Earth’s pie.
For them the world seems dark.
Though everywhere around is bright and green.
Is there anything that we can do?
Do they have to be in water?
Can no one invent anything?
For these dying poor little ones!
